WAM Launches Sounds Of The Kimberley Recording Project

West Australian Music (WAM) has today announced a brand new recording project set to uncover musicians, songwriters and studio sound engineers of all ages, levels of experience and music genres living in the Kimberley region.

Selected participants will take part in the recording of the Sounds of the Kimberley compilation, starting in September, with the final tracks released in 2020.

The project forms the second of nine new regional 'Sounds Of' recording projects bringing recording studios to regional centres, building a pop-up studio to record original tracks for a compilation album.

Participants leave the studio with a professionally recorded track. WAM also offers the opportunity to further develop their skills in studio sound engineering, working alongside West Australia's premier sound engineers and producers.

To register your interest in the program click HERE by July 12 2019.  Successful applicants must be residents of the Kimberley region.
