Triple j's Hottest 100 countdown is just around the corner, and this year we've certainly been spoilt for choice, with so many great artists dropping amazing tracks in 2019.

Throughout the year we've seen homegrown acts including Thelma Plum, Adrian Eagle, Baker Boy, Hatchie and Stella Donnelly drop epic debut albums as well as Byron Bay busker Tones And I skyrocket into international stardom, with her track Dance Money garnering over 1.5 billion streams worldwide and No.1 in 20 countries.

If you're as overwhelmed by the sheer volume of acts to choose from, don't worry there's still time. Here's a rundown of some of the tracks we reckon will make the elusive hottest 100 for 2019.

Tones & I - Dance Monkey

Every now and then there's that act that seems to pop out of nowhere, amassing a huge fan base seemingly overnight. Toni Watson aka Tones And I is certainly the perfect example of this. Since her single 'Dance Monkey' dropped in May last year, the track has become the longest-running chart-topper by a female artist ever. If that doesn't impress you, we don't know what will.

Sampa the great - Final Form

Since the release of 'The Great Mixtape' in 2015, the Zambian-born musician has been absolutely slaying it in the music scene. 2019 saw Sampa further solidify her standing with a hugely emotional and poetic album 'The Return'. The album features one of our all-time fave songs Final Form, a ferocious blend of poetry, soul, pop and modern hip-hop. Not to mention the epic video clip that goes along with this track shot entirely in Zambia. 

Billie Eilish - Bad Guy

I'm not gonna lie, the Moshtix office is low-key crushing on Billie Eilish right now. The 18-year old dark-pop queen can do no wrong and her song Bad Guy is no exception. Bad Guy is Billie's highest-charting track to date, taking on a cool, calm and collected approach to her sound in the track. A sure-fire pick for this year's number one track.

G-flip - Drink Too Much

We're all about drummer-producer-singer G Flip and her early 2019 release Drink Too Much. The song was written after a wild night at Melbourne nightclub Revolver (we've all been there right?!) and features a shout out to Melbourne model Steph Claire Smith. Expect big things from this Melbourne muso in 2020.

Bakerboy - Meditjin ft. JessB

Baker Boy's latest single Meditjin is a huge vibe! It makes you want to get up and dance and reminds you of the true healing powers music can provide. The track brings the raw energy of earlier tracks such as 'Marryuna' and seamlessly incorporates the sound of the Yidaki (aka Didgeridoo) and his native language of Yolngu Matha.

Meg Mac - I'm not coming back

After winning triple j's Unearthed Artist of 2014, singer-songwriter Meg Mac has gone from strength to strength. In April 2019, Meg released a track called  'I'm Not Coming Back' and we were instantly blown away by her room-silencing soulful vocals. Meg, we want more!

The Chats - Pub Feed

Just when we thought the pub rock legends, The Chats couldn't get any more true blue Aussie, with iconic songs including SMOKO and Identity Theft, the trio dropped their most Winnie Blue, VB Tinnie, Flanny and Ugg Boot wearing track of all time 'Pub Feed'. There's nothing better than a good ole fashioned feed down at your ole local hey!

Tyler, the Creator - EARFQUAKE

Tyler, The Creator's 'Earfquake' was on high rotation at Moshtix HQ in 2019. Originally written for Justin Bieber and Rihanna, the track is part of the rapper-turned-singer's sixth album 'IGOR', featuring vocals from Charlie Wilson and ad-libs from Playboi Carti. What really made this track a solid yes was the accompanying video clip featuring Tyler's iconic blonde wig and blue suit get up. Offt!

Stormzy - Vossi Bop

The undeniable king of UK Grime, Stormzy had another massive year on the airwaves after releasing his second album just a few hours after polls closed in the UK's latest general election. His track 'Vossi Bop' has got to be one of our faves off the album!

Mallrat - Charlie

Following her fab single 'Nobody's Home', the cool as a cucumber muso released a dreamy and oh so relatable track called 'charlie'. Named after her beloved family dog, Charlie is a song about love and pulls all the right heartstrings to earn Mallrat a spot in the top 100.
